PLAY, LEARN AND GROW TOGETHER!

First Congregational U.C.C. Preschool is a not-for-profit preschool in Elyria that is open to the public and offers classes for three, four and five year-olds September through May.

Who We Are

The First Congregational United Church of Christ Preschool in Elyria, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1950 by a group of parents who were interested in developing a preschool program for three and four year old children. The program devised provides a broad range of learning experiences. These experiences include group participation, individual creativity and the development of new skills. The program’s goal is to guide the child to attain greater independence, social competence and self-fulfillment.

As a United Church of Christ preschool, the parents are encouraged to work directly with their child’s school and deal closely with his/her teachers. The child benefits from the sense of continuity between home and school. Basic emphasis of the program is a blend of play and academics. This preschool is sponsored by the Christian Education Board of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
