Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:45 - 11:45am and additionally Thursdays from 12:30 - 3:30pm

Our Classroom Experience

Our teachers plan a widely varied daily program to accommodate parents’ preference for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere without regimentation. Activities that encourage self-expression, creativity and teacher planned projects are a prominent part of the child’s morning. Large motor activities, music, art, math, and science are all components of the daily schedule. The children are taken on field trips and outdoor excursions.

The staff works toward providing a positive, accepting environment for all students. The staff provides regular reminders, positive reinforcement of the established guidelines, school rules and limits that the children understand. Providing the students with a variety of activities suited to their interests and needs will minimize unacceptable behavior in the classroom.

Mrs. Carrie Hebble
Teacher

Mrs. Carrie Hebble is the lead teacher and director of the First Congregational UCC Preschool in Elyria where she has served for over 30 years. She is a wife, mother and grandmother, who loves children and has devoted her life to readying preschoolers for their K-12 journey. To her the best part of teaching is watching a child grow and flourish - and of course the hugs and smiles, too!

Mrs. Shannon Cleis
Assistant Teacher

Ms. Shannen has worked with preschoolers for 13 years. Then she had her daughter and continued to watch children in her home and volunteered at her daughters school throughout her elementary and intermediate years. She is so excited to be officially back in the classroom teaching 3 and 4 year olds again! She can’t wait to help them grow and thrive and make amazing memories.
